Training and Seminars
“We have been completely happy with the service provided and would happily use Act again, in fact, we may well be in touch some time soon!”
– Residential Homeowner, Mr Tomlinson
Due to the technical nature of the services we provide, it is essential that we keep up to date with current building practices and construction legislation. We are therefore able to provide technical briefings, training and seminars related to any of the specialist services we provide.
We are currently providing training and seminars on the following subjects;
- Recent Changes to The Building Regulations – Part L and J ( since March/April 2014)
- Housing Standards Review changes affecting Building Regulations – Part G, L, M ( since March 2014)
- Changes to Building Regulations – Part A & C ( since October 2013)
This technical briefing is a practical interpretation of the changes that is aimed at architects, surveyors and other building designers and those involved in the development of buildings or alterations to existing buildings. It focuses on the main changes and offers guidance on how to comply and interpret the regulations guidance.
- BS9999 Fire Safety Design Guidance
- BS9991 Means of Escape
This technical briefing on fire safety design is aimed at architects and surveyors and those involved in the design of buildings. It focuses on the key parts of this extensive fire safety design standard that will allow designers to use it when designing buildings rather than the more prescriptive standards and guidance contained in approved document B.
All of our seminars and technical briefings can be provided free of charge to groups of four or more people. PowerPoint presentations last between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes
