Our sister company CHPK provides Party Wall Surveying services throughout the UK. We can undertake the role of surveyor for building owners and adjoining owners, or the role of agreed surveyor, or just provide general advice as required.
The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 provides the framework for preventing and resolving disputes in relation to party walls, boundary walls and adjacent excavations near buildings or structures.

Specialist Party Wall Surveyors
- – Acting on behalf of Building Owners – we have acted for numerous building owners serving relevant notices, preparing schedules of condition and agreeing party wall awards in close liaison with architects and engineers. This includes service of multiple notices on adjoining owners in residential blocks of flats, office buildings, railways, and other significant adjoining structures. We work efficiently for building owners coordinating site visits and standardising matters where we can, and achieving economies of scale in accruing fees, where possible. We are well versed in dealing with the finer points of the legislation including security for expenses and dealing with advising engineers.
- – Acting on behalf of Adjoining Owners – We regularly act for adjoining owners where party wall notices have been served upon them to ensure they are correctly represented under the Act and the correct legal procedures are followed prior to works commencing on site. This includes making sure they are aware and well advised in all of their rights under the legislation as adjoining owners and that protective measures are put in place to safeguard their property.
- – Acting on behalf of both owners as Agreed Surveyor – We act for both owners where they have both agreed that a single surveyor is suitable to determine the matter in dispute. This option is most suitable where the matter/s in dispute are not contentious and normally of a simple nature or connected to residential type works and is more cost effective for fees.
